Highlights 2004/2005:
July 05: As part of Lloyds TSB Bank 'note for note'
initiative, a group of students from Guildhall School of Music in
London presented a
workshop in school. We said 'goodbye' to children leaving us to
go on to different schools in Exeter at a 'Leavers Disco' - it was
very
noisy!
June 05: We 'Kicked for CLIC' With Mike Barrett,
ex Exeter City goalkeeper, and raised a staggering£714.30 for
charity.
May 05: The PTA organised a 'Grand Cream Tea' afternoon.
The tables had floral decorations in the middle, and Year 3 children
dressed
up as waiters and waitresses to take everyone's orders.
Apri 05l: We planned our new School Prospectus and
the photographer took over a hundred photographs for us to choose
from.
March 05: We all laughed on 'Red Nose Day', and raised £116.86
in the process!
February 05: PE week was great fun with different
activities to interest us all. We all took part in: 'The Fruit and
Vegetable 5 - a - day
Roadshow' ; 'Try Golf' : 'Aerobics Workouts' ; 'Bouncy Castle'.
January 05: Happy New Year! All our teachers undertook
interactive whiteboard training, so that our lessons in the new Computer
Suite
can be more fun!
December 04: Mums, dads and carers really enjoyed
our Christmas play 'Ralph the Reindeer'! They enjoyed it so much
they donated £170.00
to 'The Children's Society'.
November 04: St. Thomas Primary School, Exeter
was officially opened CLLr, Mike Knight. We let off red balloons
into
the sky, and celebrated
with tea and cakes. We supported 'Children in Need' and sent £147.43
to the appeal.
October 04: Our 'Harvest Week' was great fun. We
raised £148.50
for Barnados.
September 04: We moved into our new school buildings
- it took us a long time to sort out the furniture and the resources,
but it was
worth it!
